Gameplay insights, optimization, and features discussed in an unofficial Discord server
An alleged Alpha tester for Amazon Games' upcoming MMO, Throne and Liberty, has recently shared some information about the game on an unofficial Discord server. It's important to note that this information is not official and has not been confirmed by Amazon Games.
Gameplay and Classes
The tester, who claims to be playing as a mage, said the gameplay is good for his class. It is still unclear how melee classes will perform due to the combat system. The tester mentioned that they might switch classes and provide more information in the future.
Story and Quests
The alleged tester reported that the story has been interesting so far, with impressive cinematics and character customization during cutscenes.
Arenas and PvP
There is no information on the existence of arenas (1 vs 1, 2 vs 2, or 5 vs 5) in the game at this time. As for open-world player-killing, the tester confirmed that there is no such system, but they are unsure if it would be possible in dungeons, raids, or events.
Optimization and System Requirements
According to the alleged tester, optimization in Throne and Liberty is excellent, allowing for play on PCs with minimal system requirements. They also confirmed that the game runs well on an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060. However, it remains to be seen how the game will handle a large number of players on screen.
Language Availability
As of now, only the English language has been observed in the Alpha version of the game.
NFT Features
The tester confirmed that there are no NFT features in the game.
Guilds
Guilds can initially accommodate up to 50 members, with the ability to expand as you progress through the game.
Auto-Attack and Gameplay Mechanics
Throne and Liberty allows for auto-attack, auto-potions, and auto-hunt within a small radius. However, the tester notes that mobs are not easy to farm, and players must be mindful of dodging and parrying. Auto-features are most useful when facing lower-level mobs.
Death Penalty
Upon death, players will face a 5% EXP penalty, similar to Lineage 2.
Peaceful and PvP Locations
While 100% peaceful areas have been confirmed, there is no information on the existence of 100% PvP zones.
It's important to emphasize that this information is not official and has not been confirmed by Amazon Games. The Alpha version of Throne and Liberty does not currently have a cash store, so the potential for pay-to-win features is still unknown.
